EDIT: It took us just 15 days into July to meet our funding goal with this generous match! But please keep reading, and consider donating to continue our mission for expanded access! July 2025 is the month we get our Metabolic Psychiatric Recovery Program fully funded thanks directly to you and Baszucki Group. Why? Because they noticed the expansion and impact this nonprofit is making and swooped in with an incredible opportunity—a matching grant. A matching grant means every dollar donated by supporters is matched by another funder, effectively doubling the impact. For one month only, Baszucki Group will match every donation up to $20,000. https://www.every.org/brain-fog-recovery-source/f/metabolic-psychiatric So if we raise $1000 in donations, that will be happily matched by them and create $2000 for our nonprofit work. It amplifies every single donation made, turning generosity into a funding momentum that translates into immediate, meaningful action on our part. “There are no professionals in my country offering these kinds of services so finding someone elsewhere who can work with me without the extra expense has been very valuable.” When we reach the full match using this generous grant, here’s exactly what that means for the people who need it. It means I don’t have to schedule people months out before their enrollment calls and we can close down the existing waitlist and let people in faster. Participants can immediately begin exploring the hope and promise of ketogenic diets and other powerful metabolic therapies and experience what recovery might mean for them. “I have been on antipsychotics for almost 30 years… I feel amazing today. I am finally able to look for work now.” It means more administrative capacity. It means our admin Aleah has the hours needed to field more inquiries, answer questions, and guide participants and their caregivers through the application process and program onboarding with the kindness and efficiency she is quickly becoming famous for. “I have been given a full scholarship … and am so grateful for the opportunity to work with an experienced professional to improve my mental health. It is also very motivating to be part of a group of people working towards a common goal, and I have gained a lot from being able to share experiences… with the others.” It means more time for the essential group and 1:1 touchpoints I have with people that provide personalized guidance as they initiate and sustain their metabolic therapy. “The group, Nicole, and her course inspire me and give me hope that my life is not ‘over.’ There are things I can do to actively work toward my recovery, and I am not a victim of my circumstances—I can change things!” Most importantly, it means doing more of our good work. We are the only nonprofit providing direct ketogenic professional access to this population that has literally no other way to receive the education and support needed to put these therapies into practice. “In the first week or two, I felt a dramatic difference in my cognitive functions, memory, mood and hallucinations. I am so thankful that I was able to get a scholarship and I don’t know how I would have been able to afford this otherwise.” Imagine what it’s like watching recovery stories unfold, seeing published clinical trials and case studies circulate through social media, yet knowing you’ll likely be among the last to access this therapy when it finally becomes standard-of-care. Knowing you lack the funds to pursue it privately right now, in the moment of your suffering. Knowing that suffering could be alleviated, or even end if you just had the expert support needed to get it right. I want you to know, that most of the people joining our program through the nonprofit since we publicly announced are already on low-carbohydrate or even ketogenic diets. They’re trying so hard to get it right. But they lack the education and support to pinpoint what’s not quite working. Can you imagine the frustration of watching others recover and not being able to access the education and support you need for yourself? I can. It’s why I started this nonprofit. I found a way to deliver education and support in a scalable, efficient, wholly human, and celebratory manner—a way that’s now tried, tested, true, and unapologetically amazing. So, please help me fully fund this program initiative. Please visit this matching campaign in July 2025 and donate if you can. And if you cannot donate, please share the link in your social networks, and help explain why access to this type of education and support is so important for this population who needs it most. Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Guide From myself, our board of directors, Aleah our admin, and every participant who will benefit, thank you for believing in the importance of access to these life-saving and quality-of-life-saving therapies for low-income and disabled individuals seeking psychiatric recovery.
